July the 14th

It was a lovely day out with Victoria.Since I`m stuck in London until the end of July,I finally have plenty of time. And trust me guys, I`m making the most of it.

When I came back from Paris, which was about a week ago,I realised, how much I actually love London. Or maybe the fact that I finally moved out from Walthamstow has taken its toll.I`m not gonna go into details, but believe me, it`a a place you don`t want to visit.

So today we went to central London. We started our journey from Angel-the most peaceful yet depressing place on Earth (this is where our college is located). Then we moved a bit further south- to Waterloo. Then to Covent Garden, Leicester Sq and finally Trafalgar Square. What can I say...London is a wonderful city and it`s actually incredible how my perception of this place has changed within only a year. It`s so lively,so vibrant,so diverse.I am quite happy living in London. It`a a source of insiration, positve energy and youth.

London weather is quite weird and unpredictable though. It`s mid July already, and it`s still quite chilly, although I prefer this kind of weather to the heat-at least it doesn`t make me feel that much exhausted.

Paris,la ville de quoi?

I got back from Paris a couple of weeks ago and to be honest I feel slightly disappointed and even deceived.Well, thanks to the media coverage, we all assume that this city is nothing but the mixture of glamour, romance, style and charm. No offence, but I`m here to disperse this myth. I`m not denying the fact, that la ville d`amour is beautiful with all its bridges and incredibly sophisticated buildings, but to be honest, that`s all. I was actually quite happy to be back in London, as to me London seems much more cosier and cleaner. The underground system in Paris is utterly unhandy. It`s quite easy to get confused and the doors of the trains have to be opened manually, which I found rather shocking. In addition to that, people there are quite rude. They would step on your feet without even saying "pardon" and push you here and there. I`m not even talking about waiters. I was in the middle of my meal when the waiter came to me and started asking me to pay the bill in a very persistent way, as if a was some tramp or something. These little things kill the romance at its roots.
The Eifel tower was amazing, though. So impressive and fascinating.
I very much liked Musee D`Orsay. We`ve been to Louvre too, but for me it was a bit boring, as I am not very much into classic art. I prefer impressionism with its bright colors and interesting concepts.
Another thing worth mentioning is men.Paris is full of really handsome men. I mean it. They are everywhere and they all stare, which makes Paris quite different from London, because staring at strangers is not something Londoners would do, unless you`re in Walthamstow, Seven Sisters,Brixton or other pictoresque areas of the capital.
You might not agree with me, which will be totally understandable, as we all human beings and we all see things from different angles. Maybe you were lucky to go to Paris with your boyfriend or girlfriend and had an opporuntity to enjoy the romantic spirit of this, undoubtedly, breathtaking city.

It`s been a while,guys...
I don`t really have time for taking photos, and even when I have some,I don`t have my camera with me.
That`s my casual outfit. It`s about 12 am, I am off to college to write my politics exam, I feel very optimistic but I `m just not showing it.
I really like this pink shirt that I got from Topshop yesterday.I`d been looking for something like this for ages and I unexpectedly found it .I just popped into Topshop after finishing my politics revision and discovered this amazing item, and what made it even more appealing was that it was at a discount.Lovely,I thought, and went straight to the till without even trying it on properly.
I got these brown shoes in September and they are terribly uncomfortable, although they look exactly the opposite.

I`m finally 18.My lovely friends had organised a birthday party for me.It was such a pleasant surprise)

Today I woke up with terrible hangover and headache, although I didn`t drink much yesterday, just a couple of shots, some coctails and white wine.So I spent the entire day in bed drinking water and suffering.
However, later on we went to a lovely Italian restaurant in Regent`s Street. That`s probably my favourite place in London. They make incredibly delicious pizza and the atmosphere is quite relaxing.
I promised to upload some new pics.Enjoy

Feb

Finally I`ve got something to show you guys.I always leave my camera at home so I don`t even have a chance to take any pics.Buut I went on a college trip to Parliament today and I took it with me,so here are some fresh photos of me in the very heart of London-Victoria stn.
This outfit couldn`t be more casual-that`s basically how I look in everyday life (apart from my hairstyle,of course).
Although many people complain that London weather is rubbish, I can`t agree.Even when it`s raining it`s soo beautiful.

Wait for further updates,as first of all,I`ve got loads of new stuff to show you and it`s my 18th Birthday on February the 6th!!!

Nov

As you see, my Dear readers,I`m really desparate. I either don`t have time to take photos, or don`t have anyone by my side to take photos of me and that`s the reason why I haven`t updated my blog for ages. That`s why I took a pic of myself in the mirror. It`s pathetic, I know, but I couldn`t keep you waiting any longer.
Say hello to my new semi-cardigan,semi-dress.(btw something twisted on the right side of my face is not my right eyebrow, it`s a camera strap).
Is it getting warmer already?

Back again

Guess who`s back?
Sorry for the lack of updates. I didn`t give up blogging,I just neeeded a little break and I promise,I won`t keep you waiting for new posts again.
One of the things I like about London is the weather. It`s absolutely unpredictable..You never know what you`re going to wear tomorrow. Most of the time it`s warm and windy.Wearing sandals, leggings and scarf at the same time would definitely look weird in Riga, but here it`s quite common, that`s why I love this city.

Hi everyone.
I moved to London a few days ago.Unfortunately,it was impossible to take all my clothes with me,that`s why lots of things were left at  home.
I went shopping yesterday. You just can`t hide from shops here-they are everywhere.Luckily,I found a perfect pair of ballet pumps (exactly the same colour as my slippers-ultramarine blue).
